What a weekend in Buffalo it was, as the entire NHL gathered downtown for the 2016 Entry Draft. By all accounts, the growing city shined well, with great organization between facilities, beautiful weather, and awesome atmosphere in the arena and out at Canalside with fan events.
Sabres beat reporter Mike Harrington shares his opinion of how the team held their first draft in almost 20 years, and had very positive things to say as well. The Sabres weren’t just dealing with logistics though, as they had their own needs to address with 11 picks heading into the weekend.
Mike shares his take on the subsequent moves, including the trade of Mark Pysyck to Florida to move up in the 2nd round and get defenseman Dmitri Kulikov.
