Riding the success of their 4th untitled album, featuring a relatively unknown song called “Stairway to Heaven”, Led Zeppelin exploded onto the Memorial Auditorium stage on June 10, 1972 with a blistering rendition of “Immigrant Song”
This week marks the 50th anniversary of one of the most electrifying concerts a Western New York crowd has ever seen. To celebrate, 97 Rock presents a “Led Zeppelin Weekend”, serving up classic Led Zeppelin songs and B-sides twice an hour throughout the weekend.
The weekend concludes Sunday Night at 9 p.m. with a special edition of Get the Led Out where we relive the classic Buffalo show where Zeppelin wielded the hammer of the gods and put the Buffalo crowd into the palm of their hands with a set that included “Heartbreaker, Dazed and Confused, Since I’ve Been Loving You and concluded with the instant classic “Rock and Roll”.
It’s a Led Zeppelin Weekend celebrating the 50th anniversary of the epic concert 97 Rock listeners voted the best to grace the stage of Memorial Auditorium.
