Some fans think Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News is just a Sabres hater.  This is untrue.  He is a big fan of their latest acquisition, defenseman Brandon Montour from the Anaheim Ducks, via trade on the eve of the NHL Trade Deadline.

Will he help the struggling Sabres blue line before the end of the season?  That remains to be seen.  Buffalo enters tonight’s game yet again failing to win two games in a row for the first time since mid-December.

With 20 games left, Buffalo sits six games out of the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.  Barring a complete turnaround, Mike Harrington doesn’t expect to cover games in late April in downtown Buffalo.
