AUDIO: Legendary sportscaster Verne Lundquist

If you’re a sports fan, you probably couldn’t watch a sporting event on TV and NOT hear the impeccable Verne Lundquist.  Verne’s finally profiled his decades-long career in his memoir, “Play by Play”, and spent some time on Morning Bull to remember some of his best Buffalo calls.

Despite his age, Verne remembers calling a Cowboys-Bills game from the early 70’s fondly, citing with detail one of “the best 5 yard touchdown runs” he’s ever seen, referencing former Bills great OJ Simpson.

He talks about his work on “Happy Gilmore”, portraying himself on the mid-90’s slapstick Adam Sandler classic, calling bowling matches, and lots more with one of the greatest sportscasters of his generation below.
