Morning Bull is celebrating the “Most Shocking Moments in Buffalo History” all week long. If it made headlines at a concert in Buffalo, it’ll be covered this week on 97 Rock.
When the Allman Brothers were just starting out, they had a weekend of dates at Hertel Avenue’s Aliotta’s Lounge. After a dispute over payment, Allman’s roadie Twiggs Lyndon fatally stabbed club owner Angelo Aliotta in May of 1970.
Lyndon served time in a mental institution, but never did prison time for the crime. He continued to roadie until his death in a skydiving accident in 1979.
