Apparently, not every gym lets its patrons choose what TV stations to watch. Case in point, last night Morning Bull producer Steve Tripi wanted to watch Jeopardy! while getting a cardio workout on the elliptical.
This appeared to be a reasonable request. There are 12 TVs in said cardio room, and asking one to be changed wouldn’t necessarily disrupt the viewing practices of the rest of the patrons in the area.
However, this was met with hostility and resistance by gym management. Forced to watch nine TV’s stuck on the same local cable news loop, it made for a frustrating evening.
So @SteveTripi asked to put @Jeopardy on at the gym yesterday, and they said no! Apparently, this place’s policy is to keep the TVs on a designated set of channels. But #Jeopardy can’t be excepted? Is it rude to ask to change the channel at the gym? #Buffalo
