Since the Sabres are dead last in the Eastern Conference, Morning Bull’s convo with Buffalo News’ hockey writer shifted to the disappointing end to Team USA Men’s Hockey in South Korea last night.

It’s no surprise the Americans were sorely missing their young talent, like Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, etc.  So instead of going younger, sending fast, talented college players to the games, Team USA decided to load the team with slow, aged NHL retirees, like Brian Gionta and James Wisniewski.  As it turns out, this wasn’t a sound strategy.
