It’s incredible to think the Sabres are 4 years removed from their first “tank” season of 2013-2014.  Buffalo sits dead last in the Eastern Conference, tied for Arizona with just six wins heading into December.

Unlike the lean years, Buffalo doesn’t have the cap room, draft picks, and roster options they did before they tried to rebuild their roster.  Buffalo News Sabres beat reporter Mike Harrington can’t figure out any way Sabres GM Jason Botterill can retool his team this season, since so many guys on their team come with little trade value and very high price tags.
