#19 in The Greatest Year in Classic Rock Countdown: 1966

1966 was the year that John Lennon’s “bigger than Jesus” remark led to massive burning’s of Beatles records.  It was also the last year that the Beatles performed live in concert.  The Rolling Stones released “Aftermath,” Cream released “Fresh Cream” and the Byrds had “Turn, Turn, Turn” out.
