1978’s more important releases included Van Halen’s debut, “Some Girls” by the Rolling Stones, “Darkness on the Edge of Town” by Bruce Springsteen, “Stranger in Town” by Bob Seger, “Running on Empty” by Jackson Browne, “Don’t Look Back” by Boston.

Bruce Springsteen kicked off his 1978 tour at Shea’s Buffalo in May, and a few weeks later the Rolling Stones played Rich Stadium on July 4th.
